Heyall,
This is my first real attempt to suggest a class. I doubt it'll go anywhere, since I rarely get anything right on the first try, but I'm hoping the post won't at least be locked or removed.
The idea came to me while looking at the classes in DF and AQ. There are ninjas, paladins (soon maybe), and ninjas in both games, though all 3 started in AQ first. Why not have Dragonlord be available in AQ as a Tier 3 armor? I was inspired by the crossover Titans of Battleon event between AQ and DF.
Since this class already exists in DF, I’m concerned that it probably won’t be allowed in AQ, but I’m giving it a shot anyway.
Well, here goes.
Class Name: Dragonlord
Prerequisites: 5 levels in Dracomancer AND 5 levels in Dragon Slayer
Armor:
Name: Dragon Mail
Element: Fire
Appearance: Similar to the Dragonlord Armor in DF, but with a Dragon’s Face embossed on the Cuirass (upper torso armor). Chainmail covers the abdomen region on the seams of the armor. This version of the armor has no helm. The non chainmail portions of the armor are grey scale, similar to the Holy Armor of the Paladins and the normal Dragonslayer Armor.
Description: One of the last remaining relics of the Dragonlords. This armor channels the Dragon magic of Lore embodied by the Elemental Orbs along with the skills of its past bearers. Only one who understands the strengths and weaknesses of dragonkind is worthy of it.
This version of the armor has only one attack of the same type as the weapon used. It’s a simply dashing strike with the weapon unless the weapon’s special activates. Damage is 100%base/100%random.
Defense Modifiers (before/after level

Name: Dragon Lord’s Mail (Guardian Only)
Element: Fire
Appearance: Similar to the Dragonlord Armor in DF, but with a Dragon’s Face embossed on the Cuirass (upper torso armor). Chainmail covers the abdomen region on the seams of the armor. This version of the armor has no helm either. The non chainmail portions of the armor are cobalt blue. The left arm (shield arm) has a larger gauntlet on it.
Description: One of the last remaining relics of the Dragonlords. This armor channels the Dragon magic of Lore embodied by the Elemental Orbs along with the skills of its past bearers. Only one who understands the strengths and weaknesses of dragonkind is worthy of it. This version grants an extra ranged attack from the left gauntlet!
This version of the armor has two attacks; the first is of the same type as the weapon used. It’s a simply dashing strike with the weapon unless the weapon’s special activates. The second attack launches an arcane bolt from the gauntlet on the left arm that does ranged damage of the same element as the weapon equipped. Damage for both strikes is 80% base/80% random each. Both armors have identical defense and elemental resistance values.

Ten Skills: o for permanent effect (the defense upgrades)
One: Luck of the Dragon(ish)
Strike with the luck of Allana, one of the first Dragonlords and protector of Leprechauns!
-----Mana Cost: 15 mp
-----Damage: one strike: 1hit of weapon type and element with random damage modifier in the range from 50% to 350%
Stat bonuses: yes
Bth: 10%
-----Appearance: A four leaf clover appears above you, then your weapon glows green before you perform a jump strike that does the above mentioned damage.
Two: Resistance Bonus
Increased Elemental Resistance!
As described above in elements section of armor desc.
Three: Eye of the Hunter
Channel the Sight of T’larus, the first Elven Dragonlord and former Ranger General!
-----Mana Cost: 40 mp
-----Effect: On turn this ability is used, nothing happens. If the player uses the dragon mail’s normal attack, the attack will have +100 bth (unblockable) and have a damage modifier of 150%. Essentially this is equivalent to two unblockable attacks of 75% power each. Stat bonuses applied.
-----Appearance: On first turn, an eye appears above the player’s head, and the announcement is made that Eye of the Hunter has been used, sort of like how Divine Magic is announced. Like Divine Magic, this effect only lasts if the player keeps the class armor equipped.
Four: Dragon Hoard
Use Roric’s Amulet to summon the Cursed Hoard of the dragon Fafnir to strike down your foes!
-----Mana Cost: 65 mp
-----Damage: 4 hits of melee Earth damage; +25 bth each, 15-30 damage each. No Stat bonus applied.
-----Appearance: A treasure chest is summoned next to the player, and a wave of gems and gold coins strikes the enemy for 4 hits of melee Earth damage.
Five: Trigoras’s Gift
Call upon one of the three magicks of the legendary Trigoras!
-----Mana Cost: 85 mp
-----Damage: 1 hit of magic damage of the chosen element (fire, ice, or energy); +30 bth, 70-90 damage. For the next 5 turns after the initial hit if it connected, the enemy suffers 5-10 magic damage of that element that is unblockable, similar to a Sneak’s poison ability. No stat bonus applied.
-----Appearance: When ability is activated, player can choose which element they want. After that, a spectral dragon head appears (similar to the dragon head that appeared when the Wind Orb attacks you on Drakath’s behalf in one of the DF quests); red for fire, white for ice, or yellow for energy. A dragon breath attack whose appearance should match the element strikes the enemy inflicting the above effects.
Six: Roar of the Dragon
Let out a Roar of Fury that replenishes your mental reserves at the cost of stamina
-----SP cost: 50% of max SP
-----Effect: Player recovers 20% of mp
-----Appearance: Player roars in a manner similar to Berserker shout.
Seven: Reinforce Weapon
Use your newfound knowledge of transmutation to enhance the attributes of your weapon!
-----SP cost: 5% of max SP to activate.
-----Effect: The normal attack and Luck of the Dragon(ish) receive a +10 bonus to bth and a 120% damage modifier. Each turn the Reinforce Weapon effect is active, 5% of the max SP is drained. When SP reaches less than 5% of max SP or 0, effect is ended.
-----Appearance: Weapon gains an aura of the same color as its element (purple if void) and the above bonuses are applied to the two attacks mentioned. Activating the ability does not end the player turn, similar to the Beastmaster buff skills.
Eight: Defense Bonus
-----Mana Cost: 0
-----Effect: Defenses increased according to above armor section
Nine: True Dragon’s Heart
The most advanced combat maneuver of the Dragonlords, invented by The Last Dragonlord. A powerful 3 hit attack!
-----Mana Cost: 125 mp
-----Damage: 3 hits; 1 hit of the same element and type as the weapon equipped with +15 bth and 150% damage modifier, 1 hit of the same element and type as the weapon equipped with +20 bth and 130% damage modifier, and 1 hit of the same element and type as the weapon equipped with +10 bth and 250% damage modifier. (if all 3 connect, then it’s the same as 530% damage modifier to weapon damage, of matching element). Stat bonuses not applied.
-----Appearance: Player drops his or her weapon and, if equipped, shield to the ground. Wings appear on player’s back similar to those that appear when Dragonlords in DF use DHeart. Player then flies at enemy and goes offscreen for first hit. Player flies back onscreen hitting the enemy on the way for the 2nd hit. 3rd hit has the player hurling a large energy ball at the enemy. Wings vanish and the player picks up his or her weapon and shield again.
Ten: Dragon Magic!
Channel the powers of the Elemental Orbs themselves! Each Orb can summon an avatar of one of the most powerful dragons of its element, each with amazing effects. Discover their powers for yourself!
-----Total Cost: 30 charges. If this is too low or high for this skill, please let me know.
-----Effect:
Flame of Akriloth: 1 hit magic Fire damage; +100 bth, 350% of weapon damage. If hit connected, enemy suffers 5 turns of unblockable 10-15 Fire damage.
Chill of the Great Frost Wyrm: 1 hit magic Ice damage; +100 bth, 300% of weapon damage. If hit connected, enemy suffers from -10 penalty to DEX. If enemy is not Ice type and if it’s ice vulnerability is 100% or higher, then enemy is also frozen for two turns.
Storm of Krenos: 1 hit magic Energy damage; +100 bth, 325% of weapon damage. If hit connected, enemy is paralyzed for one turn. If enemy is water type and has energy vulnerability of 100% or higher, enemy is paralyzed for another turn.
Torrent of Serlissa: 2 hits magic Water damage; +100 bth each, 150% of weapon damage on each hit. Each hit that connects will also recover player mana for 50% of the damage done.
Curse of Ziragat: 1 hit magic Darkness damage; +100 bth, 350% of weapon damage. If hit connected, enemy defenses are lowered by 5 each. If enemy is light type, enemy darkness vulnerability is increased by 10% for the rest of the battle (enemy takes 10% more dark damage).
Blessing of Geldar: Player recovers 20% of HP and MP. There is a 5% chance that player gets a full heal of HP and MP.
Gale of Sirius: 1 hit magic Wind damage; +100 bth, 325% of weapon damage. Enemy wind vulnerability increased by 10% for rest of the battle. If the enemy is Earth type, wind vulnerability is increased by 20% instead.
Fortress of Gorgok: Player only receives 50% of damage from enemy attacks for 5 turns. However, this effect ends if player switches armors. Also, the player cannot use the attack option while this effect is in play. In addition, all attack spells will have a x0.75 penalty modifier to damage. Healing spells and summon spells are not affected. Pets are not affected either.
Stat bonuses do not apply to any of the above effects.
-----Appearance: The 8 elemental orbs appear above the player. After clicking on one, the orbs vanish and the head of the chosen elemental Dragon spirit appears. The Dragon’s head then vanishes and the corresponding effect occurs.
If Flame of Akriloth is chosen: A massive Meteor strikes the enemy.
If Chill of the Great Frost Wyrm is chosen: An ice stalagmite forms around the enemy and explodes.
If Storm of Krenos is chosen: A stormcloud appears on the enemy’s side of the screen and lightning strikes. Cloud then vanishes.
If Torrent of Serlissa is chosen: A maelstrom (whirlpool) appears on the enemy’s side and then vanishes.
If Curse of Ziragat is chosen: A giant skull flies on screen and strikes the enemy, sort of like Necromancer’s skull swarm, only with one giant skull.
If Blessing of Geldar is chosen: A light shines down on the player.
If Gale of Sirius is chosen: Blades of compressed air merge into a huge arrow and pierces the enemy.
If Fortress of Gorgok is chosen: Stalagmites form around the player, then vanish.
Note: I picked unique dragons that seemed to best represent each element. I made up the wind dragon one. If there already is a unique wind dragon, please let me know.
The quests and bosses I included are just something I added for fun. I haven’t planned out stats or dialogue for any of the bosses or npcs.
Quests:
Quest 1: Find a Dragon Amulet! (this quest lets you become a Dragonlord, no skills yet)
Quest 2: Visit Dragon shrine in the Leprechaun lands (Luck of the Dragon(ish))
Quest 3: Harvest Dragon Blood (Resistance bonus)
Quest 4: Search for the Dragon shrine in the Greenguard Forest (Eye of the Hunter)
Quest 5: Slay the Dragon Keeper of the Hoard! (Dragon Hoard)
Quest 6: Seek the Amulet of Sir Nichol (Trigoras’s Gift)
Quest 7: Amulet of the Berserk (Roar of the Dragon)
Quest 8: Seek the Forest Alchemist (Reinforce Weapon)
Quest 9: Harvest Dragon Steel (Defense bonus)
Quest 10: Combat Training (True Dragon’s Heart)
Quest 11: Facing Chaos (Dragon Magic!)
Special Quest: Unfinished Business (Special End Quest)
Bosses:
Quest 1 can just be random enemies.
Quest 2 pits the player against leprechauns of various types, ending in a boss fight with Sham Jr., a leprechaun with a different name and is basically a weaker Uncle Sham without Golden Plate.
Quest 3 has the player visiting the lands of the Vartai (Cyrus’s faction), and pits him or her against several dragons before being challenged by a leveled Cyrus.
Quest 4 has the player fighting forest type enemies before fighting a leveled Swordmaiden.
Quest 5 has the player fighting Earth type monsters of appropriate level before fighting Fafnir, a unique Earth type Dragon that uses both darkness and earth attacks.
Quest 6 has the player fighting Undead enemies in a crypt before facing a leveled Trigoras. Higher level players should be familiar with this beast.
Quest 7 has the player fighting Human enemies like bandits, berserkers and herdmasters, etc. before fighting the Herdmaster Boss.
Quest 8 has the player fighting Construct enemies (like golems) of appropriate level and various types until meeting a new NPC, the Forest Alchemist, who sends a Siege Engine Golem (Earth-type with Earth and Fire attacks) against you.
Quest 9 has the player fighting Drakel type enemies in Keld Nae’r before fighting a leveled Drakellium Prototype Dragon.
Quest 10 sends the player against knight type enemies before facing the Last Dragonlord.
Quest 11 has the player fighting Vartai (the ones seen in the latest Dragon War) and dragons before facing the Dragon of Chaos (yes, the same one hatched by DF players). This dragon is able to switch elements in battle to whatever the player is weakest against. It should also have 90% elemental vulnerabilities and be leveled.
The Special Quest has player fighting a series of fire and undead enemies seeking to kill the Last Dragonlord. The Boss of this quest is an Undead Xan. If this interferes with Artix Entertainment's plans for DF and AQ then it can be some other major foe from DF like Gorgok or Lord Frydae XIII.
Stat Needed: Luck
Happening: (What is happening along quest) Luck determines whether or not the player finds what they are looking for, whether it be a dragon shrine or a certain enemy.
NPC:
Name: The Last Dragonlord
Appearance: Wears the classic DF Dragonlord armor, but covered in a full hood and cloak ensemble that is Midnight Blue. The face of The Last Dragonlord is shadowed, save for the mouth region, which is a pale color. The gender of The Last Dragonlord is deliberately vague, as is anything else that might identify him or her. A Dragon Amulet can be seen on the cloak clasp.
The following text includes scene locations and NPC dialogue
Text:
The location of the class quest should be in the forest between The Crater and Mount Thrall.
