Okay. I've just been through this entire thread cleaning out a whole pile of junk. I'm now going to lay down some ground rules for you to follow in future if you would please.

1) CHECK if the bug has already been reported, if it has your "me too" post is unnecessary. If you have been told by an admin or moderator to post in bugs if some problem that is supposed to be fixed persists, look at the threads at the bottom of this forum, post in the appropriate topic down there, if and ONLY if no topic on the subject exists should you post a new one.
2) Do not respond with "That's not a bug" posts. AKs are welcome to edit such things in to the post though. Every few days I will be going through this thread and deleting all posts that are not bugs. You may however respond if you have a way to solve the bug, such posts are welcome.
3) No pictures! Links to pictures should be used instead. Also please do not use Bitmaps for the pictures. Convert it to a more space efficient type, such as JPEG or png.
4) If your bug is fixed please delete your post. I'll be going through and deleting all posts on fixed bugs every couple of days.
5) If your post mysteriously disappears see above.
6) If its a problem in battle list *everything you have equipped*. A lot of old bugs were blaming the wrong thing for the problem.

What are not bugs:

  • Some weaponsthat have variable damage based on character level, (the Soul, Power and Spirit Katanas for instance) do not display their actual damage. This is intentional and is actually done to prevent certain types of bug abuse.
  • Big 100k triggers on Draegan Avenger and Drowned Angry Rat. Yes, they count as undead, despite not having any of the common descriptory for such.
  • Weapons with manual elemental/attack type shift such as Arkridge or Grim Vestige can only be changed during their specials or spell casting when using armors such as Werewolf Form, Canine Warrior or Troll Form that dont display your weapon during regular attacks.
  • Temporary items are lost when leaving the game.
  • Health/Mana potions - if you use the "Log out" button on the Battleon town page, you keep any potions you have collected.
  • Clicking "Attack" on a class armour, and having it do a class skill at not MP cost instead. Some class armors have a small chance to do one of their unique class skills for free instead of doing the normal attack.
  • Paladin level 10 ability does not always activate. This is normal, as it has a 15% chance of activating upon your character's death in the armor.
  • Necromancer/Obsidian Cloak level 10 ability Lich Form - You actually have to die for this ability to activate. It does not allow you to continue your current battle as a Lich.
  • Paxia Trophy does not actiate if your clan is not Aerodu, Geoto or Nautica. The description of the item says that it will only work for active members of these three clans. If your clan is something other than these three clans, then the requirement is not met and the item will not activate
  • Night Hunter Vampire Slayer looks just like the normal version. The original artwork was lost, so the normal Vampire Slayer art was used in its place. As a compensation for this, the armor was buffed to be slightly better than the normal version.
  • Father Time or Eye of Naab shields: When the special ability of either of these is activated in a battle, the other cannot be activated in that same battle. Additionally, when restoring HP/MP from the previous round, if a spell was cast in the previous round, the spent MP will not be restored, though if a class skill was used, the spent MP will be restored. Also, if you use either a HP or MP potion in the round prior to activating either of these shields, any HP or MP gained from the potion will be lost. Use care when using these shields.
  • Wizard Robes (all versions) - The Frostbite skill will only freeze a monster for 2 turns if a)the specific freezing requirements are met and b)Frostbite has not already been used on the monster in that battle. In other words, it will only freeze a monster for 2 rounds once. After that, it will only freeze for a single turn.
  • Dracomancer Armor missing some levels. If in the past, your fought the war boss Bradakhan, he had an ability to permanently remove levels from Dracomancers. The only way to regain these levels is to complete the Dracomancer class quest again.
  • Candy Hearts/Insane Candy Hearts spells are not affected by Divine Magic. This is by design.
  • Maelstaff weapons trigger on monsters of the same element, and switch to the opposite element. (Energy maelstaff switches to Water damage, Water Maelstaff switches to Energy damage)


What are known bugs:

Armors:

  • Vampire Slayer armor: Player's right hand changes to default color when attacking.
  • Giant head form loads default head when drinking potion and after death.
  • Flame Guardian Armor only charges up when the monster is listed as a fire monster. On the same note, fire monsters charges it up no matter what element their attack was, e.g. The fire elemental Seeker's special.
  • If player is holding a shield and Flame Guardian Armor is not reequipped after getting it from armory, powerup animation won't show.
  • Black Dragon Rider Armor doesn't load player head if player dies.
  • Dusk Robe: When player dies, shield remains in default position
  • Snow Golem Form - not displaying weapon special. Also freezes with weapons that have selectable damage.
  • Night Hunter Vampire Slayer - Drinking a potion resets your weapon and shield to the "backup" weapon and armor, these have no special defined so do *NOT* attack with them. When this happens reequip your weapon and shield before proceeding.
  • Werebunny Armour - Similar to NHVS above - Re-equip weapon/shield after taking a potion, otherwise game will freeze.
  • Aerodu Armour - Freezing whilst displaying the default sword. re-equip your items to correct this.
  • Lucius, Winged Unicorn - Freezes when displaying the default sword and shield. Re-equip your items to correct this.
  • Golden Holy Armour - "impossible" arm movement after second hit
  • Necromancer Cloak/Obsidian Cloak - when doing Leeroy Jenkins quest, and having it equipped for the initial cut-scene, the screen will black out. SUGGESTION: Equip these armours AFTER you go through the cutscene.
  • Daulphin Rider: When wearing it, Trench Axe still attacks with water on base water enemies.
  • Fighter: Level 3 defense boost doesn’t seem to activate until you become a level 4 fighter
  • Temp Guardian Armor does double attack, but not triple attack
  • Gift Box Armor: Gives player longsword when equipped, known to freeze the game because of this


Weapons:

  • Book of Death: listed as magic but does melee damage.
  • Temporary Guardian Blade is weaker than permanent version.
  • Temporary Guardian Blade has no attack type.
  • Bludbow: no sound effect.
  • Siren Spear: Special damages in description are wrong.
  • Big100K - Next battle, new weapon still does Dark damage. Solution: re-equip the desired weapon. Fixed!
  • Big100K: Doesn't trigger on Rotten Corpse Zombie
  • Perfect Monster Smasher: Doesn't trigger on ice monsters if used with an ability that doesn’t receive stat bonuses.
    Ion Cannon: The Ranged attack uses it's sound, even if sound effects are set to "Off."


Shields:

  • Nighthunter shield special does not activate when used with some armors. (This is actually a bug with those armors)
  • Ultimus does not trigger on Rotten Corpse Zombie


Spells:

  • Spectrum Swirl spell will not deduct MP if monster only has 1 MP.


What You Shouldn't Be Posting Here:

  • Things that belong in another thread. (Specifically: Typos and Graphics Issues)
  • Layering issues are Graphics Problems, they don't go here either. And no your arm will *not* stop displacing a special. Due to the way things are done its not possible, if the special would cover your arm, so would the weapon, and obviously your weapon belongs inside your hand.
